“Not just a ride – A ride to change a life,” is the slogan of this year’s Action on Addiction charity motorcycle ride, on April 22. Last year 400 bikes made the journey from Weymouth to Exmouth for the ride, raising £5776.00.
John and Wendy Bramble, from Weymouth, created the event four years ago, to honour their son Craig, who sadly lost his life to solvent abuse, in 2001.
John wanted to warn locals there would be ‘lots of bikes on the road’ again this year, with the possibility of some disruption to traffic in the town.
He said he hoped people in Exmouth would give ‘a wave and a cheer’ to the charitable chapter, as they head towards Fox Holes car park dressed in pink.
